Information You Send Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the provider that supplies that result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you email us, we receive the content of that message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services retain routine server data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand usage. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use this limited information to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the circumstances, Oregon consumers may have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, ORS 646A.570–646A.589, regarding data held by covered businesses. Because we retain very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then deleting what we can lawfully remove. Use the Contact page to make a request. Oregon state, county, and city records are controlled by their custodians, so a correction or removal request for those records goes to the office that holds them.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
